A Florida man who had recently been released from prison is back in custody after a drug trafficking investigation led to a SWAT raid that uncovered methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, cannabis, amphetamines, drug paraphernalia, bulletproof vests, and a large collection of firearms, according to a December 20, 2025 report from WPEC CBS12.

Details from the investigation: Authorities say the man was already under investigation for drug trafficking when officers executed the raid. During the search, deputies reported finding multiple types of controlled substances, including meth and fentanyl, along with packaging paraphernalia associated with distribution. The search also turned up what officials described as an arsenal of guns and body armor, items that can enhance charges when recovered alongside drug trafficking activity.

Because fentanyl and meth were involved, and because the suspect was found to possess weapons and bulletproof vests, prosecutors may pursue enhanced penalties under Florida law. The man, whose identity was released by authorities, was arrested and booked back into jail following the raid.

Residents with information about drug trafficking activity in their area are encouraged to contact local law enforcement or submit tips through Crime Stoppers.
